Baihe Kindergarten belongs to a residential area. The pursuit of maximization of commercial interests leads to the maximization of residential land. So the kindergarten land is squeezed extremely. Excluding the outdoor activity space, a fully covered three floors block is almost the only choice for this case.

We splitted the thick blocks into two relatively thin blocks to provide sunlight and ventilation for the building, and naturally formed two functional parts for children and office logistics. The two relatively independent parts are connected by two bridges locating in the space between two blocks in series. The prototype of the "Bridge" extends to a "Broken Bridge" suspended at the top of entrance. And it is both the canopy and the glass library on the second floor. Which convert this building to a dramatic game space.

The "squeezed reality" leads to an squeezed space. Compared with the hard design, Baihe Kindergarten is a relative soft design to solve specific problems.
