Binzhou Experimental School is a 36-class high school. We tried to discuss in the context of local technology and green design resulted in the following strategies. First, a shading system was made by prefabrication. Secondly, the architecture design was equal to system design. Third, the construction operation was converted to local industrialization.

We applied GRC, Glass Fiber Concrete, as the sun-shading boards, which are arranged into a grid system attached to the facade. By calculating, the board width was designed to be 60 cm, which can not only ensure the shading in summer, but also meet the lighting in winter. The grid naturally forms two sets of window systems, opening and fixing.

A layer of aluminum slope roof is added above the building to form a double-layer ventilated roof. The solar photovoltaic panels are installed on the south side of the sloping roof, and the roof angle ensures the maximum efficiency of its work.

The design of Binzhou Experimental School Project discusses the technical concerns rather than formal issues. Reality itself constitutes the design resource, which creates a simple and unique quality of building.
