Daai Kindergarten is a super-large kindergarten with 36 classes. The scale of more than 20,000 square meters makes it not only a kindergarten, but also a micro city. The client hopes to put a city-like spaces inside, so that children can experience public life from an early age. We tried to break the functional boundaries of conventional kindergartens to cultivate children's open and free attitude. Strategically, the building is enclosed to form a complex. The ground floor is open, and the upper part is formed as a closed loop.

The ground floor of the kindergarten consists of several independent functional units, including the public functions and logistical rooms. The scattered leaf-shaped buildings form an open space that constitutes artificial urban landscapes such as streets, squares, hillsides, and woods. Children can play and interact freely to learn basic concepts of public life. The upper curved ring building is supported by lower leaf-shaped units. This is a space for children' daily education. The ring plane provides children with an introverted and safe living environment, while also creating a smooth and unconstrained linear space.

Daai Kindergarten is a brand-new attempt on the prototype of kindergarten, and it is also a challenge to the model of early childhood education.
