Our design is based on the Hakka culture and Lingnan regional climate where Longgang District is located. In the design, we introduce the spatial prototype of the Hakka Walled Village. The campus is surrounded by teaching units, arranged in a ring. A "cultural and sports center" is placed at the center as a place for social gatherings and events. There are two sets of logics to arrange the space on the bottom and upper floors of the building: the bottom layer forms a community-friendly, outward space, returned the space to the community; the upper layer is an inwardly enclosed "ring-shaped street" for teaching purpose. We arrange "capsule" shape classrooms in the street. The flexible classrooms create a "mini-city" on campus, form a free and open environment, encouraging students to interact in many ways.
