The work of IA x RA consists of two parts: IA (Infra-arch, architecture studio) focuses on the design and construction of architecture and space, and RA (Reflex-arc, think tank) focuses on cross-disciplinary exploration and research, enabling design to become the medium that connects various groups of people and their perspectives. Our core members are from different disciplines such as architecture, landscape, economics, politics, and urban planning. The two parts support each other and complete the continuous spiral exploration from research to project implementation. We are interested in the changes in contemporary Chinese cities, and hope that through research, visual arts, exhibitions, and the creation of the building itself, we can better explore the methods to solve urban problems and influence contemporary cities in a more humane way.

Lubin has been engaged in architecture design and urban research all year round, and has continued to pay attention to the influence of mass culture, visual carrier, and multimedia on the culture of architecture and urbanism. Lubin Liu was invited to several exhibitions, including Omni Dimensional Design In China, “Get It Louder”, The Exhibition of 100 Architects for The 10th Anniversary of UED, Beijing Design Week, Urban Regeneration Symposium in Harvard University, and so on. He was awarded to creative youth 100+ of Domus, 80X80 Architects, and so on. His works have been published in several media, including UED, Domus, Archdaily, Dezeen, Designboom, Ikuku, and so on.
Jingqiu Zhang

Jingqiu Zhang has strong interests in the cross-disciplinary practice between art and architecture. She has curated exhibitions and activities for North Gallery of Yale School of Architecture, Yale Center Beijing, etc, designed space for the Exhibition of Annual of Contemporary Art of China 2019 (Shenzhen). Her works has won 2015 Eleven Magazine Architecture Design Competition (exhibited in Boston Architectural College), 2018 Acoustical Society of America Design Competition (First Honor, Theater Design), 2019 Jinchen Park International Design Competition etc. She has written and interviewed for Arch-Position, World Architecture, Paprika!, Yale Retrospecta, etc., translated book New Urban Suburbanization, will published book Park City (as editor and contributor), The Theatre of Bauhaus (as translator).
